How do I get success from my physical therapy treatment?
Peak Physical Therapy is glad you chose our facility to receive your physical therapy treatment. It is our goal at this clinic to give you the best physical therapy care you can receive. Our therapist will make every effort to spend the time with you that you both deserve and need. In exchange for our dedication to your care we are asking you to do your part at home with your home exercise instructions given to you by your therapist, as well as with your attendance to treatment. Your condition will not likely change drastically in one visit, nor will you be healed by simply walking through our door. You will need to work at home following the instructions from your therapist. Your physician prescribes the amount of physical therapy treatment they feel you need. The therapist and patient will need to adhere to this frequency as ordered. It will take a partnership between you and your therapist to work together to overcome your injury. Please make every effort to fully participate and attend visits as scheduled. We will make every effort on our end to schedule you at a time when we can give you personal attention, as well as accommodate your other appointments and work. If you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment please call and speak with your therapist. If you have any questions in regard to this agreement please do not hesitate to ask your therapist. Success will come by working together!
A typical visit at Peak Physical Therapy
A typical visit at Peak Physical Therapy will be 60 to 75 minutes in length and will be spent working with the treating physical therapist. The first visit will be a therapist’s evaluation of the problem identified by your physician. The physician will be sent a copy of the therapist’s findings, and plan for your physical therapy care. The therapist will ensure the patient is comfortable, at ease, and comprehends the information relayed to them. The patient needs to wear loose clothing, comfortable shoe wear, and allow for the time necessary to receive care. Upon return to your physician the therapist will send a report of the treatment, progress of the physical therapy treatment, and future plans to achieve total success. The first visit will be scheduled in a designated new patient time slot, and thereafter appointment times will be determined with your treating therapist. The office staff will do everything possible to accommodate your needs, and answer your questions.
