Greg Cornforth, PT, DPT

Greg was born and raised in Quebec City, Canada. He completed a Health Science degree in college, and obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree in Physical Therapy at world-renowned McGill University. Greg moved to Southwest Virginia in 1996 and began working at Peak Physical Therapy in 1999. He has been involved with Russell County and surrounding area sports teams since 1996, both on the sidelines assessing injuries, rehabilitating athletes in the clinic, and with athletic performance improvement. Greg became a board certified specialist in sports physical therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties in 2003 and then certified as a strength and conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association in 2004. Greg completed his doctorate in physical therapy in August 2011. In his spare time, Greg enjoys traveling with his wife Emily, his daughter Ava, and spending time with friends and family. He is a tri-athlete – running, biking, swimming and kayaking, and loves playing all sports notably golf, hockey, and tennis. |
Bob Weatherly, PT, DPT
Bob Weatherly is co-owner and licensed physical therapist at Peak Physical Therapy. Bob was born and raised in Bristol, and he served in the military prior to attending physical therapy school at Shenandoah University in Winchester, Virginia. After receiving his Masters Degree in Physical Therapy in 1995, Bob worked for Wellmont Health Services in Bristol and also served on the Wellmont Sports Medicine Team. Bob joined Lebanon Physical Therapy in 2000. He has continued to provide sports medicine services for athletes in Russell County. In 2004, Bob became one of the first physical therapists in the area to transition to a Doctoral Degree. He is also a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Bob had the privilege of coaching track and cross country at Lebanon High School, guiding the boys track team to a State Championship in 2018. He lives in Abingdon with his wife Amy, and two sons, Jack and Sean.

Colby Hunt PT, DPT
Colby Hunt is a licensed physical therapist at Peak Physical Therapy. Colby grew up in Phelps, Kentucky and moved to Abingdon, Virginia in 2002 at the age of 11. After graduating from Abingdon High School in 2009, Colby attended Emory & Henry College graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. Inspired by an uncle and a cousin who became paraplegics at an early age, Colby developed an interest in learning more about the physical rehabilitation process. He chose to continue his graduate education at East Tennessee State University and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree in December, 2016. Colby currently resides in Abingdon, Virginia and has varied interests which include technology, health and fitness, basketball, and weekend hiking with his wife, Rebecca.

Vanessa Stacy, PTA
Vanessa Stacy works as a licensed physical therapist assistant at Lebanon Physical Therapy. Vanessa graduated from Honaker High School in 1989, and earned her Associates Degree in Physical Therapy from Wytheville Community College. She has been practicing as a physical therapist assistant for 17 years. Vanessa joined Lebanon Physical Therapy in 1998. She provides physical therapy for students through Russell County Schools and works with pediatric patients at the clinic. Vanessa lives in Honaker, Virginia and has one daughter, Morgan. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading, scrapbooking, and crafting.

Jamie Boswell, MS, PTA, CSCS
Jamie was born in Augsburg, Germany from a U.S. military family and later moved to Abingdon, VA in 1985. While attending Abingdon High School, Jamie earned honors in academics and sports, in which he participated at the state level in baseball, track, cross country, and wrestling. Jamie continued his sports career at Appalachian State University as a wrestler and later as a cheerleader. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from Appalachian State in 2003 and returned for a Master’s degree in 2006. He finished his Master’s Degree magna cum laude in Exercise Science with a concentration in Cardiopulmonary Rehabilitation in 2008. Jamie spent the next two and a half years teaching health and fitness classes at Appalachian State before continuing his education in the Physical Therapy Assistant Program in Wytheville, VA. He graduated from the PTS program summa cum laude in May 2013.
Jamie has been certified as a personal trainer and fitness instructor for over a decade, with certification from the YMCA, AAAI/ISMA, and NSCA. After earning his Master’s Degree from Appalachian State, he also became a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) from the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). During one of his clinical rotations for PTA school, Jamie worked for Lebanon Physical Therapy and knew he had found the place where he wanted to spend his career. He currently resides in Abingdon, VA with his wife Megahn and three boys Sheldon, Shayden, and Seamus. When Jamie isn’t in the gym, he loves spending time with his family, working and landscaping outside, and volunteering at his local church. |
Tabatha Robinette, PTA
Tabatha Robinette was born and raised here in Russell County and is an alumni of Lebanon High School. She was a standout student athlete at the high school and collegiate levels. After attending King University on a running scholarship, Tabatha went to Wytheville Community College to obtain her Physical Therapist Assistant Degree. She is also a certified personal trainer. Tabatha has been a part of the PPT family for over 10 years now. In her spare time, she enjoys running, training, and spending time with her friends and family.

Travis Scott, PTA
Travis Scott grew up in Castlewood, VA and graduated from Castlewood High School. In school he was a successful athlete and excelled in football, basketball, and baseball. Travis went on to continue his education by studying at ETSU and completing his degree at Marshall Community and Technical College. He has been a licensed physical therapy assistance since 2014 and started his career at Lebanon Physical Therapy in 2016. Travis enjoys watching and attending sporting events, especially the 49ers, his favorite team. He takes delight in playing the drums for his church and relaxes to weekly sports podcast. Travis is fond of weekend cookouts and values this time to spend with friends and family.

Julie Humphreys
Julie is a receptionist with a warm smile and kind voice at Peak Physical Therapy. She grew up in Konnarock, VA and attended Marion High School. She pursued her studies at Virginia Highland Community College, where she received her Associates Degree in Business Management. She lives in Abingdon, VA with her husband Jeremy and two boys, Jett and Jaxon. Together, they enjoy beach trips, sports, and spending time with friends and family.

Jaime Puckett
Jaime is our Authorization and Collections specialist at Peak Physical Therapy. She grew up in Honaker, VA and attended Honaker High School. She pursued her studies at Southwest Virginia Community College. She has over 15 years of Administrative experience in our community. Jaime lives in Lebanon, VA with her husband Joseph and two boys, Macon and Chase. She enjoys exercising, the outdoors, and spending time with friends and family.
